Massage for the Berlin Marathon
Arrive relaxed in race week, unwind after 42 kilometres – in your hotel room, your apartment or my studios.
Every year tens of thousands of runners make their way through Berlin, many of them from all over the world. Runners are among my guests too: before the start, to arrive relaxed, and after the race, to truly switch off after 42 kilometres. I have been working as a wellness massage practitioner for more than 15 years and come to your hotel with everything it takes.
The next race weekends
- Berlin Half Marathon: Sunday, 4 April 2027
- Berlin Marathon: Sunday, 26 September 2027
Around these weekends I only offer a few appointments, because I give every session personally. Please get in touch early.
Before the race
In race week, I recommend a calm massage with gentle to medium pressure, ideally two to five days before the race. It gives you time to settle before the big day. We keep firm, deep work further away from the start.
After the race
On the evening of the race or the day after: an unhurried session in your room, with no trip across town. In the first few days I keep the pressure gentle; firmer work follows three to five days later. Sunday evening and Monday are especially popular because many guests fly home on Monday or Tuesday.
Before and after: two sessions, one weekend
Many guests come to Berlin just for race weekend. The marathon is on a Sunday, so this plan works well:
- Friday: a calm massage to settle in, two days before the start.
- Sunday: your race.
- Monday or Tuesday: an unhurried, gentle session before you travel home.
I always leave 24 to 48 hours between the two sessions. If you fly out on Monday morning, we move the second session to Sunday evening. Just send me both preferred times and I will reserve them together. More on the blog: Massage before and after a marathon.

Frequently asked questions
Massage before or after the marathon?
Both work, and many runners combine the two. Before the race, keep it calm and gentle so you reach the start line relaxed. After the race, enjoy it as a proper time out – that evening or in the days that follow. I am happy to plan both appointments with you.
How many days before the race should I have a massage?
Two to five days before the start is common, with gentle to medium pressure. The day before the race is not the time to try anything new. We plan firm deep tissue work further away from race day, especially if you are not used to it.
How soon after the race can I book a massage?
As early as the evening of the race or the day after, kept calm and gentle. Firmer work is usually best saved for three to five days later. Sunday evening and Monday are popular because many guests fly home on Monday or Tuesday.
Will you come to my hotel?
Yes, to any hotel in Berlin. I bring a massage table, organic oils, fresh towels and my soundscape; all you need is a little space in your room. Travel is included in the price. I am also happy to come to your holiday apartment.
Isn't there already a massage at the finish?
The organisers offer short massages in the finish area. My session gives you 60 or 90 unhurried minutes – right in your room, at your own pace.
How early should I get in touch?
As soon as your race entry and hotel are confirmed. I work alone and give every session myself, so appointments around race weekend go quickly.
Which languages do you speak?
German, English and Spanish.
My massages are for relaxation and well-being. They are not a substitute for medical care or physiotherapy.
